Is Drawquarium worth buying?

Known, unknown, and who said so

VGKami's 29 October piece says the game looks worth trying and is not yet a safe blind purchase. It points the game at people who like relaxing, drawing, and collecting, and away from people who want a campaign, competitive multiplayer, deep aquarium management, or a hundreds-of-hours endgame. I am relaying that judgment, not upgrading it into my own score.

PC Gamer's 11 May hands-on found the mouse good enough, the plants easier than the fish, and a slow path toward a gold look. The writer had no release date then. That date now exists. The hands-on still is not a review of the finished game.

A practical filter

It may suit you if you like drawing, you like watching fish, you want low pressure, and a desktop companion sounds pleasant. It may not suit you if you want management depth, combat, multiplayer, or a story campaign. The demo is the filter: install it, spend an evening, and see if the canvas is fun when your own drawing is the art.

I will not write a must-buy line. After release, this page should grow Steam review summaries and any scored reviews that appear. Those numbers are not here today.
