How Drawquarium play is described
The loop on the store page is draw a creature, put it in the tank, feed it, and watch relationships form. I am not going to invent hotkeys the publisher never printed.

Drawing, stamps, and PNG imports
Store copy says you can draw fish, plants, and even fish food. Screenshots show a brush with size, opacity, flow, and hardness, plus fill, texture stamps, fin stamps, and an eye picker. One food drawing is a donut. A September update note says a finished fish can be renamed and edited again, so the drawing is not locked at the moment you leave the canvas.
The same store text invites a PNG import and specifically mentions a child's drawing becoming a resident. Players on the Steam discussion also describe double-clicking a fish to clone it. That clone tip comes from a player reply alone; it is not independently confirmed in the publisher feature list.
Feeding, shine, and the currency
Feeding is tied to growth. The store and the release trailer describe a metallic shimmer that can become a gold fish if care continues. PC Gamer's May hands-on noticed the same slow shine. Golden Scales are a separate currency: screenshots show a balance in the thousands and a template locked behind “Unlock for 2.” A gold fish is not a Golden Scale.
Leftover food and debris stay in the tank. The September note mentions an aquarium vacuum for cleanup. Fish cards in screenshots show a level, an age in days, and a personal quote. I will not turn those card labels into a level cap, because no public page states a maximum.
Relationships are part of the pitch: friends, rivals, soulmates, and offspring. Breeding is described, with small fish that grow when fed. Bioluminescent fish and plants are also described, though discussion posts say that task can be locked or buggy in the reduced demo.

Questions people ask
Can I import a picture of a fish?
The store page says a PNG can become a resident, including a child's drawing.
What are Golden Scales for?
They unlock brushes, templates, and decorations. They are not the same thing as a fish that has turned gold.
Is there combat?
The store does not describe combat or a fail state. It does describe fish that quarrel, which is social, not a battle system.
