Relationships
Friends, rivals, and offspring
The store promises a social tank: fish that befriend, quarrel, pair off, and produce small fish. It does not publish the rules that decide which outcome you get.

The social words the publisher uses
Steam's description lists friends, rivals, enemies, soulmates, and breeding. Fish are also said to react to food, bubbles, new arrivals, and the room, including excitement and fear. A fish card screenshot includes relationship icons next to the quote, which supports the idea that a bond is shown on the card, without telling me the icon legend.
Offspring are described as small fish that grow when you keep feeding them. I do not have a gestation time, a minimum level for pairing, or a chance percentage. Those cells stay empty. PC Gamer's line about making the tank attractive to customers does not match the store, which never mentions guests or a shop, so I am not building a relationship around customers.
What a quarrel is not
A quarrel between fish is not a combat system. The store tags the game as playable without timed input and does not describe a fail state or an invading threat. Insaniquarium's aliens are a different game. If two fish dislike each other here, the published outcome is social drama, not a health bar I can cite.
Questions people ask
Can fish breed in Drawquarium?
The store says yes, and that the small fish grow as you feed them. A timer is not published.
Do fish fight?
They can be rivals or enemies in the description. That is not described as combat with a win or a loss.
Is there a compatibility chart?
No public chart. I will not draw one from a single screenshot's icons.
